- Harry Riley Spitler

Harry Riley Spitler, DOS, MD, MS, ND, PhD

Dr. Spitler is still highly regarded as a luminary in multiple fields of natural medicine.

I feel a close kinship, since he is the only other Naturopathic Optometrist that I can think of...

When I studied Naturopathic Medicine at National College of Naturopathic Medicine, his Basic Naturopathy text was still used as the best introductory text to the field.

Spitler also founded the College of Syntonic Optometry, and his book The Syntonic Principle is still in use as the foundational textbook in that specialized eyecare field as well

The College was originally centered in a physical facility in Ohio. The building was made with stainless steel so it would act as a Faraday cage for Spitler's research.

Vision Educator Meir Schneider interviews Ray Gottlieb, Dean of the College of Syntonic Optometry

Ray Gottlieb rediscovered Syntonic Optometry at a time when there were only a handful of practitioners. The FDA had made it illegal to transport color therapy instruments across state lines and had destroyed most of the instruments, and even burned the books. Light therapy, like so many other natural therapies in competition with the pharmaceutical industry, was suppressed by the extra-constitutional powers of the federal government in regulating medicine and health for profit and power.

Only a few rural optometrists never got the memo informing that light doesn't heal. In their communities, it was common knowledge that if you had certain issues, like say a sinus headache, you would just go to the optometrist and look at a certain color, like say blue-green, and the issue would quickly and safely resolve.

Resurrecting awareness and training of doctors in the field of syntonics, there are now hundreds of practitioners around the world. Hopefully one day there will again be thousands, as there were before it was so violently suppressed...

Interview with Jacob Liberman OD

Jacob Liberman was President of the College of Syntonic Optometry while I served as the Secretary of the College. I also visited him at his home in Florida... Jacob continues to explore the healing powers of light and its relationship with every aspect of life.
